How to play Minesweeper
Molehills turns minesweeper into a lawn with moles napping under it: the moles are ours, the counting is the classic game.
- Dig every square of the lawn that has no mole under it.
- A number counts the moles in the eight squares around it, corners too.
- Mark a square you are sure of with a molehill. Marks are optional.
- Dig onto a mole and it wakes up. Play goes on, but the result counts it.
Step by step
- 1 A number counts the moles in the eight squares around it, corners too.1
- 2 Sure about a mole? Switch to Molehill and tap to mark it, or long-press or right-click it. Tap again to take it off.1
- 3 Tap a number whose marks match it to dig the rest around it.2
- 4 Digging onto a mole wakes it, but play goes on. It counts as found.1
- 5 Hint: tap for where, tap again for why.1
What you see
Lawn, not dug yet.
Your molehill mark. Marks are optional.
A mole you woke.
Solving tips
- Start from the dug patch: a number whose hidden squares match it exactly has a mole in each.
- A number that already touches all its moles makes its other squares safe to dig.
- Compare two numbers side by side: the squares one sees and the other does not often settle it.
Questions
