How to play Queens
Pup Park dresses the classic Queens puzzle as a dog park: the pups and the yards are ours, the rules are the familiar ones.
- Put exactly one pup in every row.
- Put exactly one pup in every column.
- Put exactly one pup in every coloured yard.
- No two pups may touch, not even diagonally.
- Tap a square once for a cross, twice for a pup.
Step by step
- 1 One pup in each row, column and coloured yard.
- 2 Pups never touch, not even diagonally.
- 3 A ✕ marks a square with no pup.
- 4 Tap for ✕. Long-press or right-click for a pup. Tap again to take it off.
- 5 Hint: tap for where, tap again for why.Hint
What you see
A pup.
No pup here.
Red ring: touching another pup.
Each colour is one yard.
Solving tips
- Start with the smallest yard. A yard of one or two squares has almost no choices.
- Every pup rules out its whole row, column and neighbours, so cross those off before hunting for the next.
- If a yard sits entirely inside one row, no other yard can use that row.
